I have never suffered from a lack of things that interest me, but I have recently realized that life is quite short and if I would like to really delve deeply into any of my hobbies, I am going to have to focus on just a few. A partial list of hobbies I have picked up over the years includes: music (which includes playing piano, guitar, trombone, and ukelele, songwriting, and recording), astronomy, bonsai cultivation, Celtic knotwork, gourd crafts, leatherwork, coin collecting, stamp collecting, and knife collecting. At one point I was collecting so many things I decided that I collect collections. I have since stopped all of the collecting except some casual coin collecting .
On top of all of the hobbies there are all of the fascinating subjects that I would love to learn more about like religion, computer programming, astrophysics, archaeology, Hebrew, German, matrix mathematics, and the list goes on and on. It really is too bad you can't just learn as a profession.
Going forward, I am planning to limit my hobbies to mainly music and astronomy while spending small amounts of time on bonsais and celtic knotwork. Below are links to pages dedicated to these four hobbies that have examples of some of my own work as well as links to some of the many resources I have found helpful while persuing these interests.
